XX. ISBIS, International Symposium on Business Information Science

„The Role and Impact of the Artificial Intelligence"

The Scientific and Educational Forum on Business Information Systems (SEFBIS) is a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the John von Neumann Computer Society (JvN CS or NJSzT), that mission is to research and disseminate this knowledge of all business-related ICT developments to the professionals and also to the users. Besides, that the organization has been holding together the domestic and foreign specialists from the field of the ICT in business, it is specially committed in supporting teachers and students studying economy, developing business information systems, ICT technology and related topics.

In order to perform the SEFBIS’ goals, the SIG launched a conference series in 2003, that has been organized in every Year and is followed by great interest. This event has always provided floor to senior and junior researchers and practitioners to present their results, to show experiences or new applications, to generate professional discussions, and to give good opportunity for face-to-face talks and to establish joint research and other cooperation. As the cradle and even during the first 10 Years period the host was the Széchenyi István University in Győr, the 20th Jubilee Conference returns back to the roots.

The SEFBIS’ Board calls all the colleagues, who are not only interested but also committed in developing more effective business systems and in making it much more acknowledged among the business and ICT professionals, to join to the conference!

The Program Committee’s proposal as preferred topics:

  • the role, impact and ethical concern of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

  • ICT in business: optimization, knowledge- and production-management, innovation, development

  • new trends, changed ICT needs, requirements

  • effective software development solutions; methods, modeling, visualization, new technologies, techniques and tools

  • special focus on data and information security: problems, threats, risks

  • managing BigData, processing, analyzing – problems and solutions

  • need for redeveloping the previously installed systems to the new ICT solutions, mobile technologies

  • the role and solutions of ICT and AI in the education

The contribution in English or in Hungarian has to be sent to the EasyChair Conference System:

  • Abstracts: describing the summarized goal of the presentation, results, solutions in maximum 4000 characters

  • Full papers: describing the scientific result, developments, problems and solutions of your work in details in 8-10 A4 pages, together with references the authors have used.

  • Posters: presenting the results of the topic in visualized form

Important dates

  • 20 October 2024: deadline of abstract submission and the early bird registration

  • 25 October 2024: notification of acceptance

  • 8-9 November 2024: conference in Győr, Széchenyi István University

Fees

Registration fee includes the organization costs of participating on OGIK'2023 conference, welcome dinner, coffee breaks, buffet lunch, cost of editing, publishing and any statutory contributions related to the conference.
